My research focuses on understanding ocular diseases' clinical, epidemiologic, and genetic correlates, including Diabetic, Sickle Cell, and HIV-related Eye Diseases such as orbital, and ocular cancers. I am also interested in ophthalmic imaging, Age-related macular degeneration and retinopathy of prematurity. I am an engaging and effective team leader with an excellent work ethic and abilities. My ultimate goal is to conduct valuable, innovative, and collaborative research to advance scientific understanding of how lifestyle, and environmental factors in addition to genetic predisposition affect the susceptibility and stimulation of biological response to orbital-ocular disease while providing leadership and mentorship to junior faculties.
