 Personal Statement

I am a reproductive biologist and neuroendocrinologist who is interested in translational research that impacts on humans. I am passionate and committed to acquiring new skills, collaborating and networking with professionals with like-minded scientific exploits. Currently, my work focuses on unravelling the endocrine basis of the infertility projection in HIV positive women on anti-retroviral therapy. This is in the quest of developing treatment intervention for the vulnerable population of infected couples who intend to procreate. I am also involved in teenage girl mentorship on sexual health, this is where I use my professional capacity in reproductive biology to impact positively on my community. My ultimate desires are to implement my research findings into solving problems of infertility and offering positive societal changes. I look forward to opportunities that will advance my teaching, research and advocacy skills.
